Dallas Attorney Michael Hurst Re-Elected to South Texas College of Law Board of Directors

DALLAS – Attorney Michael K. Hurst, a founding partner in the Dallas litigation firm of Gruber Hurst Johansen & Hail, has been re-elected to a three-year term as a member of the Board of Directors for South Texas College of Law in Houston.

Mr. Hurst is a 1990 graduate of South Texas College of Law, and served as the Lead Articles Editor of the South Texas Law Review. He has served as a member of the school's board of directors since 2007. Mr. Hurst earned his undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at Austin.

South Texas College of Law is a private institution that is accredited by the American Bar Association, and a member of the Association of American Law Schools. Founded in 1923, it is the oldest law school in Houston and the third-oldest in Texas, and is annually rated one of the top advocacy law schools in the nation.

Mr. Hurst is an accomplished attorney who represents clients in a wide range of business disputes, including theft of trade secrets, non-compete agreements, employment discrimination, and breach of fiduciary duty.

Mr. Hurst is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, and has been recognized by his peers in the area of business litigation in the Texas Super Lawyers list published in Texas Monthly magazine each year since 2003. He has been honored in the same publication as one of the Top 100 Lawyers in Texas in 2005, 2006, and 2008.
