Steven  Hopkins

Steve Hopkins maintains a diversified litigation practice, including complex commercial, intellectual property, employment, and bankruptcy matters in both state and federal courts. Steve's experience includes the representation of individuals, small to mid-size businesses, as well as large corporations.

In law school, he served as an Intern for the United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Texas, as well as interning with Justice Elizabeth Lang-Miers on the Fifth District Court of Appeals in Dallas. After law school, Steve served as the Law Clerk to the Honorable Barbara J. Houser, Chief Judge of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas. Before his legal career, Steve worked primarily in non-profit fundraising for several health-related organizations, and started a company of his own.

• Represented both plaintiffs and defendants in cases involving the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act
• Landlord/tenant disputes
• Other causes of action include tortious interference, fraud, conversion, and constructive termination

Intellectual Property Litigation

• Trademark infringement cases involving questions of authorship, fair use, and other forms of alleged misappropriation
• Conflict resolution
• Active participant in several arbitration proceedings leading to successful pre-trial resolution in our client's favor

Pro Bono

• Obtained refund of a wrongfully-withheld security deposit for client, through the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program
