Joshua Sandler represents Fortune 500 companies, small and mid-size businesses, and individuals in commercial litigation and employment disputes in state and federal courts. He has represented plaintiffs and defendants in cases involving breach of contract, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, tortious interference, partnership disputes, deceptive trade practices claims, employment discrimination, wage and hour disputes, and retaliation cases. In addition to Mr. Sandler’s experience at the trial court level, he also has significant experience practicing before state and federal appellate courts.

Representative Experience

Trial Litigation

  • Obtained million-dollar verdict in a two-week federal jury trial against a school district for the abuse and mistreatment of a disabled, non-verbal student
  • Obtained trial verdict against former employee who breached contract with large cell phone recycling company
  • Obtained permanent injunction and judgment for trademark infringement and unfair competition on behalf one of the largest direct selling companies in the world
  • Obtained dismissal from multi-million dollar arbitration alleging breach of contract, conspiracy, and fraud with respect to securing numerous Department of Defense contracts
  • Obtained summary judgment in multi-million dollar fraud and breach of contract case involving popular pizza franchise
  • Obtained dismissal of lawsuit filed by the City of Dallas against a fifth-generation Dallas business in a highly publicized and politically-charged case involving allegations of environmental abuse
  • Prosecuted suit on behalf of historic Dallas business whose certificate of occupancy was unlawfully revoked; obtained restoration of the certificate of occupancy, which resulted in the creation of hundreds of local jobs
  • Obtained dismissal in multi-million dollar lawsuit for breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty brought by large local dental group
  • Persuaded federal court to hold a party in contempt for violating a settlement agreement and infringing on trademarks for large, worldwide cosmetics company
  • Persuaded state court to hold a party in contempt for violating a confidentiality agreement and covenant not to compete for large, national executive employee search firm
  • Obtained temporary injunction on behalf of large multi-state development company
  • Obtained dismissal in fraud and tortious interference lawsuit on behalf of multinational box and recycled paper manufacturing company
  • Obtained summary judgment on behalf of law firm accused of conspiracy and malicious prosecution
  • Obtained dismissal in patent infringement dispute on behalf of large national retail company
  • Obtained multiple summary judgments on behalf of multinational telecommunications company involved in numerous negligence suits
  • Represented nationwide litigation support company in federal wage claim brought under the Fair Labor Standards Act
  • Represented large restaurant chain in federal lawsuit regarding claims for violations of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act, negligent misrepresentation, and fraud by nondisclosure
  • Represented faith-based foster care organization in federal wage claim brought under the Fair Labor Standards Act
  • Represented one of the largest precious metals dealers in the United States in breach of contract case
  • Represented development company in litigation based on multi-million dollar marina development project on Lake Ray Hubbard
