Mr. Gruber's practice primarily involves business litigation defense, although he has also posted a number of very large verdicts, judgments and settlements on the plaintiff side. He is board certified in civil trial law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, and co-authored the two volume treatise “Texas Litigation Plans and Forms.”
Mr. Gruber has been named as a Texas Super Lawyer in Texas Monthly and Law & Politics magazines (2003-2013). The same publications have repeatedly listed him as one of the Top 100 Lawyers in Texas and one of the Top 100 Dallas-Fort Worth Lawyers. Additionally, D Magazine has repeatedly listed him as one of the Best Lawyers in Dallas. He was recently presented the Award of Excellence by the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers and the Justinian Award for community service and the SMU School of Law Distinguished Alumni Award.
He attended Southern Methodist University undergraduate and went on to obtain his J.D. from the Dedman School of Law at SMU in 1981 where he was an Editor of the Law Review and Student Bar President.
